24th Sunday after Pentecost
Martyr Acyndinus, Pegasius, Anempodistus, Aphthonius and Elpidephorus

The sermon focused on these Persian Martyrs, who suffered in the time of King Sapor in 355 AD. In his preaching Fr. Joseph told the faithful that how first three Acyndinus , Pegasius and Anempodistus were serving secretly the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour though they were the servant of the pagan king. When they were arrested and brought in the trial court before the king, the holy martyrs fearlessly confessed their faith in the Holy Trinity. The torture and life threats never changed and break their strong believe and love Christ.
