Icon of Saint Seraphim of Vyritsa

With the blessings of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church outside Russia, Father Joseph Farooq parish priest of Saint Sergius of Radonezh Orthodox Church Sargodha Pakistan, visited the Monastery of Saint Seraphim of Vyritsa in the month of April 2017. During my visit he con-celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the wooden church of the monastery built in Vyritsa in 1913 to commemorate the three hundredth anniversary of the Romanov dynasty.

I venerated the holy tomb and relics of Venerable Seraphim of Vyritsa. Holy Father Seraphim of Vyritsa is known well especially for his gifts of prophecy and miracle-working.

During my stay in the monastery Hieromonk Methodius (Rev.Methody) generously donated the Icon of Saint Seraphim of Vyritsa for the Russian Orthodox flock in Pakistan and prayed that may the presence of the Icon of Seraphim of Vyritsa bring more success and prosperity to the Russian Orthodox Mission in Pakistan. Furthermore wished that may this Icon be the source of love and peace for the land of Pakistan.

I am generously thankful to my friend Vladimir an “Orthodox Missioner” and Natalia Rodomanova‎ for their sincere concern and love for making possible for me to visit the Monastery of Saint Seraphim of Vyritsa.

Holy Father Seraphim of Vyritsa pray for us!
